The sidewalk replacement project at our Clarksville branch began on Wednesday, May 5th. The library remains open during this time. This is a two-phase construction project that will allow one entrance to stay open while the other is closed. The project was awarded to AML Construction who estimate the job will take three weeks to complete.
Phase 1: Eastern Boulevard entrance closed through May 12
The sidewalk on the Eastern Boulevard side of the building will be replaced in the first phase, which requires the temporary closure of the Eastern Boulevard parking lot, entrance, and bookdrop. Use the Triangle Drive entrance to access to library during this phase.
The Eastern Boulevard parking lot, entrance, and bookdrop will reopen on Thursday, May 13th.
Phase 2: Triangle Drive entrance closed beginning May 13
Beginning Thursday, May 13th, the Triangle Drive entrance, parking lot, and bookdrop will be temporarily closed to allow for the sidewalk at that entrance to be replaced and new steps and handrails to be installed. Use the Eastern Boulevard entrance to access the library during this phase.
We appreciate your patience during this process and look forward to serving our community with these improved facilities!
