Everything from making your own Christmas ornaments to building intricate wooden creations is possible with our xTool P2S laser cutter and engraver. Adjust the speed and power to vary the style of your engravings.
Features
Our makerspace features one xTool P2S, which is a 55W CO2 laser cutter engraver. The typical cutting area is 12″ deep x 24″ wide x 0.75″ tall. However, you can remove the slats or honeycrumb tray and engrave on items up to 8″ tall using supports. We also now have the RA2 Pro rotary attachment and accessory kit which will allow you to engrave on round objects line wine glasses and Stanley tumblers.
However, Maker13 has multiple laser cutters with much larger work areas for projects that won’t fit in our xTool.

The library provides a few official xTool materials to purchase by the sheet if you prefer.
| Acrylic, clear – 12″ x 12″ sheet | $10.00 each |
| MDF – 12″ x 12″ sheet | $9.00 each |
| Plywood, Basswood – 12″ x 12″ sheet | $4.00 each |
If you would like to use your own materials, you will first need to have staff verify they are safe to be used in the laser. We now charge for time using the laser if you use your own materials:
| Laser usage with your own materials | $2 per 30 minutes (30 minute minimum) |
This is to help cover cost of consumable items such as filter cartridges as well as wear and tear on the equipment, all of which are already factored into the new costs for materials the library provides.
