Triangle Drive entrance closed starting May 13 at Branch

The sidewalk replacement project at our Clarksville branch began on Wednesday, May 5th. The library remains open during this time. This is a two-phase construction project that will allow one entrance to stay open while the other is closed. The project was awarded to AML Construction who estimate the job will take three weeks to complete.

Phase 1: Eastern Boulevard entrance closed through May 12

The sidewalk on the Eastern Boulevard side of the building will be replaced in the first phase, which requires the temporary closure of the Eastern Boulevard parking lot, entrance, and bookdrop. Use the Triangle Drive entrance to access to library during this phase.

The Eastern Boulevard parking lot, entrance, and bookdrop will reopen on Thursday, May 13th.

Phase 2: Triangle Drive entrance closed beginning May 13

Beginning Thursday, May 13th, the Triangle Drive entrance, parking lot, and bookdrop will be temporarily closed to allow for the sidewalk at that entrance to be replaced and new steps and handrails to be installed. Use the Eastern Boulevard entrance to access the library during this phase

We appreciate your patience during this process and look forward to serving our community with these improved facilities!

Freegal no longer available

Due to its high cost, the Jeffersonville Township Public Library no longer subscribes to Freegal.

However, if you are a Jeffersonville Township resident, you can still check out full music albums through Hoopla! If you aren’t a Township resident, check with your home library to see if Hoopla is available through them.

#LibraryGivingDay Benefit Concert on 4/7/21

Join us for a Facebook Live benefit concert at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7 featuring Daniel Bennett with Koko Bermejo! The duo will perform music from their newest album We Are the Orchestra. Described as “a mix of jazz, folk, and minimalism” by the Boston Globe, the Daniel Bennett Group has developed a bold modern jazz sound that has captivated audiences throughout the world. We are excited to host them as they entertain our patrons with their melodic tunes.

The concert is sponsored by New Washington State Bank and the JTPL Foundation.  All donations up to $1000 will be matched by New Washington State Bank.  An anonymous donor will match any donations up to $250 so some donations will be tripled!

This benefit concert is a part of the larger #LibraryGivingDay initiative. An idea started by the Seattle Public Library Foundation, #LibraryGivingDay is a one-day fundraising event with the goal of encouraging people who depend on and enjoy public libraries to donate to their library system. It is our hope that this amazingly talented band will help to raise awareness and support for our library and the many programs and services we provide to promote lifelong learning and support our local community. 100% of the donations will go towards early literacy and life-long learning initiatives.

You can catch the concert at 7:00 p.m. this Wednesday, April 7 by going to the Library’s Facebook page at https://facebook.com/jefflibrary or by going to the Daniel Bennett Group’s facebook page. If you aren’t able to attend the concert, you can donate to the JTPL Foundation any time through PayPal.
