“New Albany, the Riverfront, Jeff has always been a place that feels kind of under-represented in books and media,” Kummer says. “So it’s been fun to dig into that from a creative perspective.”

Both of Kummer’s new novels are set in Southern Indiana, including the first book in a trilogy focused on young adults navigating shell shock and modern life set in the near future. “This Modern Midwestern Trip,” is scheduled to release later this year.
