The Adult Education instructor is on vacation and so the GED/HSE classes offered at the Jeffersonville library are cancelled this week, November 8 – 12.

Due to changes in staffing, the following new permanent Makerspace hours will begin on Thursday, August 12:

| Saturdays | 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. |
We’re looking forward to offering these expanded hours and hope to see you in the Makerspace soon!
Job Fair & More on Thursday!
Are you looking for a job? Join us this Thursday, July 15th in the staff parking lot at the Main Library from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for a free Job Fair! Our fair features representatives from the following organizations:
- Surge Staffing
- Bridges of Indiana
- Sunrise Recovery
- WorkOne Southern Indiana
- Community Action of Southern Indiana
- LifeSpring
- Barber Academy
There will also be representatives from the Library available to answer questions about job searching and resume building, as well as a pop-up genealogy table and free plants and seeds to promote our new Seed Library.
There’s fun for everyone with the free sunscreen from Clark Memorial Hospital; a book sale with the Friends of the Library; a police car and fire truck on display for the kids; and the Rolling Pin Pin food truck available to purchase lunch!

Cultural Pass Day on 7/24
Calling all kids ages 0-21! Bring your Cultural Pass and meet us at the Falls of the Ohio State Park this Saturday, July 24 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. for Cultural Pass Day! There will be live performances and booths from lots of different Cultural Pass venues (including the Library).
Don’t have your Cultural Pass yet? You can sign up online and then come by either library location to pick up your physical Pass. Remember to bring it with you to Cultural Pass Day and any other venues you visit this summer!

Summer Fun at the Library!
There’s something for everyone at the Library this summer! In addition to our slate of exciting programs, it’s also time once again for Summer Reading Club (and other fun challenges) on Beanstack!
June 1 – July 31
- “Tails and Tales” – Youth Summer Reading Club: Youth ages 0-18 can read comics, books, audiobooks, and attend library programs to earn 200 points and win prizes.
- “Reading Colors Your World” – Adult Summer Reading Club: Adults ages 18+ can read 4 books to complete the Summer Reading Club and win your bag full of goodies!
June 1 – August 8
- Cultural Pass: Youth ages 0-21 can pick up a Cultural Pass this summer and visit more than 50 arts and cultural venues for FREE! Signup begins on June 1, come pick up your free Pass from the Youth Services Department or the Clarksville Branch library.
June 14 – July 23
- Page Turner Animal Adventures: Youth can join Storyologists, Page Turner and Kenny, as they jump into the Once Upon a Time Machine in search of stories and adventure. Along the way, you’ll participate in awesome shows, create fun crafts, make delicious recipes, and meet some amazing guests. Includes fun online activities every weekday from June 14 – July 23!
