It’s National Library Week!

Did you know that April 11 – 16 is National Library Week?

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries – school, public, academic and special – participate.

Our library is celebrating with our 3rd Annual Author Fair from 2 – 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 and a lecture on how to publish your own book just prior to that from 1 – 2 p.m.

Jeff Library featured in ALA article

Did you know our library was featured in an article about this year’s Indiana State Parks pass library checkout program? Programming Librarian, a publication of the American Library Association (ALA), spoke with Libby Pollard, our director, and Kimberly Jackson, our Circulation and Outreach Services Librarian about how the project has gone so far at our library. According to Libby, there are already 39 holds on the passes!
