As of Friday, March 11, our Libby/OverDrive collection has merged with a large consortium of libraries called the Indiana Digital Library. We are excited for this change because it gives our patrons access to a much larger collection of ebooks, digital audiobooks, and digital magazines from nearly 200 libraries across the state! The Indiana State Library will be paying the platform hosting fees for the group, which means that we can use 100% of our local library funds to purchase ebooks and audiobooks.
How To Update Your Libby App
Open the Libby app on your mobile device and tap the center Menu button
Under “Your Libraries”, tap the Add Library link
Search for “Indiana Digital Library”
Tap on Sign In With My Card
It will ask “Where do you use your library card?”
If you have previously used Libby with your JTPL library card, you may see Jeffersonville Township Public Library at the top of your list
If not, tap on 198 MORE and scroll down the alphabetical list of libraries until you find Jeffersonville Township Public Library
Enter your JTPL library card number and PIN
Your PIN is normally the last 4 digits of your phone number, but you can call us if you aren’t sure and we can reset it for you
That’s it! Enjoy the huge new selection of ebooks, eAudiobooks, and digital magazines!

The library’s tax help page has been updated for the 2022 tax filing season. While the Library provides IRS form 1040 and Indiana form SC-40 by request via curbside pickup, please note that the library itself does not provide tax preparation!
However, the following local agencies offer FREE tax help:
CASI / VITA Tax Help
If you or your family earned less than $58,000 last year, you can get your taxes prepared for free by IRS-certified volunteers at Community Action of Southern Indiana’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites.

Both the Jeffersonville and Clarksville locations of the Jeffersonville Township Public Library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10 and remain closed through Friday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Both locations will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12.
Due to ongoing software issues, the computer labs at ALL locations — Jeffersonville and Clarksville — are closed until further notice. We are working with the software company to resolve the issue and will update this website and our social media channels as soon as things are ready to reopen. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to use the computer labs in the New Albany or Charlestown libraries in the meantime.
